Keep Their Math Minds Moving - Even When School’s Out
Summer is for sunshine, sprinkler fun… and keeping those brilliant young minds buzzing.
Our Online Summer Math Challenge makes it easy and exciting for kids from preschool through grade 8 to keep practicing math, without the pressure of school.
Just four quick and playful activities each week, all delivered straight to your inbox every Sunday.
Designed to be done in 15-minute blocks, these mini math missions fit into your family’s busy (or lazy) summer days with ease.
Kids can track their progress, collect points, and win real prizes along the way!
It’s everything you want in a summer program: fun, flexible, low-stress – and yes, educational.
I wear many hats these days – a mom, certified teacher, tutor, and the founder of the SN Learning Studio: a cozy tutoring centre where students of all ages come to strengthen their math skills and gain confidence in themselves.
After more than 2 decades in education (including 10 years teaching middle school math), I became obsessed with one big question:
What helps kids truly succeed in math?
Spoiler: it’s not worksheets, timed drills, or memorization!
It’s their own BELIEF in their ability to do math. It’s CONFIDENCE and CONNECTION. It’s how they FEEL about math.
And it all starts with FUN.
This is why I’ve created the Summer Math Challenge. I want kids to be kids during the summer – but I don’t want them to lose a huge portion of the math knowledge they’ve gained this year. We can keep the learning going all summer – and make it so much fun!
Join us – The first set of Challenges starts on June 28th!
You know what can happen over the summer... Let's stop that Summer Slide!
Every summer, kids lose some of what they’ve learned. That “summer slide” is real—and the longer the break, the more they forget.
Studies show that math is the area most impacted by the “summer slide”.
Your child has worked hard all year. Watching all that progress fade by September? That’s frustrating.
But forcing workbooks and drills all summer? That doesn’t feel right either. Summer should still feel like a break, not a battle.
This challenge gives your child a chance to stay sharp without the stress. No long lessons. No boring worksheets. Just fun, simple math games they’ll actually enjoy doing.
Each activity is designed not only to keep skills fresh, but to spark joy and confidence around math.
Whether it’s practicing counting for your preschooler or helping your 8th grader tackle decimal numbers with ease, every challenge is age-appropriate and skill-focused.
Kids feel proud checking off their tasks. Parents feel great knowing their child is staying on track. And every little win adds up.
Plus, when your child wins prizes by participating each week? You’ll see that natural motivation kick in.
Suddenly, math time is something they look forward to!
Beginning on June 28th, you’ll receive a new set of 4 math-based challenges that are age/grade level specific – delivered right to your inbox every Sunday. Choose from :

Each week, you’ll receive 4 different types of challenges:
A MOVEMENT challenge – students will be moving their bodies to complete these challenges: hopping, skipping, tossing and building!
A GAME challenge – these challenges are designed to get the family involved and have a bit of friendly competition while practicing a math skill.
A PUZZLE challenge – these will have students using their logic skills and thinking outside the box with their math brains.
A CALM challenge – these activities allow kids to be creative with math: colouring, designing and connecting!
Here are some of the favourite activities from last summer:
Exercise Scoot
Activity cards are randomly placed around the room. Each card has an age-appropriate math question to solve. Search the room to find the card with your answer and do the exercise prompt before solving the next one!
Number Roll
Players roll a die and place the digit on their place value game card. Continue rolling until all place value positions in one row are filled. Whoever creates the largest number wins the round!
Domino Window
Arrange a set of dominoes in a specific way to satisfy a set of number rules. For example, all sides must have the same sum.
Colour by Number
Students can chill out and be creative while practicing their multiplication. Picture complexity and number difficulty will vary by age level.
